SHIMLA - The Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh, closed due to heavy snowfall accumulated since Friday, is likely to reopen by Tuesday, an official said Sunday.

The Pass is located at 13,050 feet above sea level in Kullu district.

Kullu Deputy Commissioner B.M. Nanta told IANS that road connectivity to Keylong, the district headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti, would be restored with the reopening of the Rohtang Pass.

According to the meteorological office here, the Rohtang Pass, 52 km from Manali, was closed to traffic Friday after it witnessed more than two feet snowfall.

The Pass connects Manali in Himachal Pradesh to Leh in Jammu and Kashmir.
