Warm, misty morning in Delhi

NEW DELHI - It was a warm and misty morning in the capital Tuesday with the day temperature expected to rise, the weather office said.

Delhi recorded a minimum of 16.7 degrees Celsius, four notches above average for this time of the season.

The weather officials attributed the rise in day temperature to cloudy skies.

“A shallow blanket of fog engulfed the capital Tuesday. Skies will remain partly cloudy with maximum temperature expected to settle around 31 degrees Celsius,” an India Meteorological Department official said.

The humidity level was recorded at 94 percent.
