NEW DELHI - The day began on a misty note Wednesday with the met department predicting a partly cloudy day for Delhi with a rise in the mercury level.

“It was quite misty in the morning and it will be partly cloudy by the afternoon. Because of the cloud cover, the temperatures will be higher than average for this time of the year,” an India Meteorological Department official said.

The minimum temperature recorded early Wednesday was three degrees above average at 16 degrees Celsius and the maximum is expected to hover around 30 degrees Celsius.

The minimum and maximum temperatures were Tuesday recorded at 16.7 and 30.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
