Misty morning in Delhi, thunderstorms likely

NEW DELHI - It was a misty morning in the national capital Monday, but weather officials forecast thunder showers towards the evening.

Delhi recorded a minimum of 17.7 degrees Celsius, six notches above the normal for this time of the season.

“It was a misty morning on Monday. Skies will remain partly cloudy, with thundery development towards the end of the day,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 29 degrees Celsius. Humidity was recorded at 94 percent.

Delhi was lashed by heavy showers last week, causing a drop in temperature.
