New Hampshire (GaeaTimes.com) — People around the world are waiting with bated breath to see the Perseid Meteor Shower this year. The annual celestial phenomenon is set to peak late Thursday. The phenomenon will continue till early Friday. People are turning their telescopes into the sky to catch a glimpse of the fantastic Meteor Shower.

The Meteor shower is called the Perseid because the path of the falling meteors can be traced backwards to form the shape of the Perseus Constellation. The New Hampshire Astronomical Society is going to host a Stargazing party at Nichols Memorial Library. Experts believe that the shower will be best viewed with the naked eye. It is expected that a number of samples from actual Meteors would be collected after the shower is over.

The most dense region of the Meteor debris will pass the Earth at around Midnight and 3 A.M on Friday. Experts expect around 60 visible Meteors an hour during that time frame. But people around the world are really hoping to see a big fireball this time. If that happens then the sky will light up and shadows would be cast in the night.
