NEW DELHI - Days of morning mist and nip in the air are ahead as Delhi unmistakably moves through its brief autumn to longer winter.

The capital city saw a warm day with a nip in the evening air Sunday, and the weatherman said that’s the pattern Delhiites will see in the week ahead.

Monday and the week ahead will witness mist in the morning and a clear and bright sky as the day progresses, the weather office said.

The maximum and minimum temperatures Monday are expected to hover around 31 and 19 degrees Celsius.

Sunday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 30.6 degrees Celsius.

“The minimum temperature was recorded a notch above average at 18.2 degrees. No rains are expected in the coming days,” an India Meteorological Department official said.

“The maximum humidity was recorded at a high of 86 percent and the minimum was 26 percent,” he added.
