Cloudy morning in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A day after light showers chilled Delhi, the city woke up to a cloudy sky Thursday. A minimum temperature of 16.7 degrees Celsius was recorded.

The capital received a total rainfall of 1.6 mm Wednesday.

“A partly cloudy sky is expected, which is likely to become mainly clear towards the afternoon,” an India Meteorological department (IMD) official said.

The temperature is likely to dip by the weekend, he predicted.

“It is expected to be colder by the weekend. Maximum temperature will be around 24 degrees Celsius while the minimum would dip to 14 degrees,” the official said.
