Foggy Christmas morn in Delhi

NEW DELHI - Delhiites woke up to a foggy Christmas morning Saturday with the minimum temperature a notch above average. The mercury is expected to dip in the week ahead, the weather office here said.

A thick cover of fog enveloped the city and visibility at 9.30 a.m. was 400 metres. The minimum temperature was 8.5 degrees Celsius,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The humidity was recorded at 90 percent and the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 23 degrees Celsius, the official said.

The coldest day of the season so far was Dec 22 with a minimum temperature of 5.2 degrees.
