Sunny yet chilly morning for Delhi

NEW DELHI - Bright sunshine greeted the capital Friday morning but the chill continued as the minimum temperature fell to 6 degrees Celsius - two notches below the average temperature for the season.

“It would be a misty and sunny day. The temperature is likely to remain stable with a little bit of chill,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.

The maximum temperature recorded Thursday was 18.6 degrees, a fall of 3 degrees from the average temperature.

Friday’s minimum temperature also observed a fall from Thursday’s 7 degrees.

“The maximum temperature is expected to stay around 22 degrees,” the official said.
