SHIMLA - Popular hill resorts of Himachal Pradesh got more snowfall Sunday and the night temperature was expected to fall further, weather officials said.

A fresh spell of snow greeted the people, especially the tourists, in picturesque Kufri, Narkanda, Manali and Kalpa. Shimla too experienced mild spells of snow in the evening.

“Higher reaches in Lahaul and Spiti, Chamba, Kullu and Kinnaur districts have got moderate snow,” an official said.

Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest place in the state with the minimum temperature at minus 8.9 degrees Celsius.

Kalpa saw a low of minus 2.3 degrees Celsius, while it was 2.8 degrees Celsius at Bhuntar and 3.5 degrees Celsius at Dharamsala.

Shimla recorded the night temperature at 2.6 degrees Celsius, whereas the maximum was 11.9 degrees.

However, vehicular traffic was not disrupted anywhere in the state.

A government spokesperson said that state-run bus has been plying normally across the state.
