Kerala’s Technopark to set up cultural club

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - The Group of Technology Companies (GTech) in partnership with Technopark here have decided to set up a cultural club called NATANA to nurture and promote the artistic talent of techies.

GTech is the strategic grouping of IT/ITES (IT enabled services) companies in Kerala.

V.K. Mathews, GTech president and CEO of the IBS group headquartered in the Technopark campus said: “NATANA would strive to become the country’s premier arts club. Its objective is to bring together professionals from the Technopark community who are keen to pursue interests in culture, music, films, dance and other forms of traditional arts.”

Technopark is home to 200 companies, which employ more than 30,000 employees.

NATANA’s launch is tentatively scheduled for March 2011. The club also aims to facilitate partnerships with cultural organisations and organise regular cultural evenings, film festivals and musicals.
