Warm Sunday in Delhi, showers expected Monday

NEW DELHI - It was a warm day in the capital Sunday as the sun played hide and seek with the clouds and the maximum temperature was recorded five notches above average. The weatherman has predicted light showers Monday.

“The maximum temperature was 27.1 degrees Celsius while the minimum was five notches above normal (average) at 12.7 degrees,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.

The humidity levels wavered between 50 percent and 95 percent, the official added.

According to the IMD, light showers might hit the capital Monday and the city is expected to witness light mist in the morning.

“The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 27 and 12 degrees respectively,” the official said.
