BHUBANESWAR - A heat wave continued to sweep several places in Orissa Tuesday and two towns - Talcher and Malkangiri - recorded the day’s highest temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, official said.

Maximum temperature was also high in several other places like Titilagarh (39 degrees), Bhabanipatna (38.7), Bolangir (38.2), Sambalpur (37.5) and Jharsuguda (37.4), an official of the Bhubaneswar meteorological centre told IANS.

“Minimum temperatures changed little. They were markedly above normal over the north coastal belt,” the official said.
