Today NASA’s Kennedy Space Center has launched space shuttle 2010 with 7 astronauts on board. At 6:21 a.m Space shuttle Discovery headed to space with crew members that include three ladies.

While three women are inside the shuttle, fourth one is waiting for them at the space station. Stephanie Wilson, Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger, Naoko Yamazaki, and Tracy Caldwell Dyson — these brave ladies would make history when they come back on earth because this will be the first mission with four women.

Nasa Shuttle will travel at more than 17,000 mph. The Shuttle astronauts will work on the International Space Station for the next two weeks. Their 13 day mission’s tasks will include retrieving a Japanese experiment from the station, spacewalks, and more.

This 2010 Shuttle Discovery crew will return on April 18 shortly before 8:30 am ET.
