Orissa records mild quake

BHUBANESWAR - A mild earthquake, measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale, was recorded in Orissa Friday, weather officials said.

The slight intensity earthquake occurred at 5.48 p.m. with its epicentre at about 75 km from Bhubaneswar, the meteorological centre said in a bulletin.

There was no report of any injuries to people or damage to property, an official at the state revenue control room said.
