Cloudy sky brings relief from heat in Bihar

PATNA - An overcast sky brought much sought after relief from the scorching heat for millions of people in Bihar Friday.
After weeks of searing heat, people in Patna and adjoining districts, enjoyed the cloudy sky that brought the mercury down. Similar reports were received from other districts in northern Bihar.
According to met officials, the minimum temperature in Patna Friday was 27 degrees Celsius and the maximum is expected to be below 35 degrees Celsius.
Local met officials have predicted that the weather would continue to be windy for the next few days.
“At present there is no heat wave in Bihar after rain and a storm hit the state in the past one week,” Animesh Chandra, director of the met department here, said.
Till last week, the mercury was above 40 degrees Celsius in Patna.
On Thursday, Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius.
