NEW DELHI - Delhiites are likely to experience another hot and humid day Saturday with the minimum temperature hovering around 29 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature expected to touch 39 degrees, the weather office here said Friday adding that the city will have to wait for a few more days for the monsoon to arrive.
“The day temperature will remain high on Saturday and is expected to touch 39 degrees Celsius,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
“Monsoon was expected to hit the capital by June 29 but it will be delayed for a few more days,” the official said.
The capital recorded a minimum temperature of 27.7 degrees Celsius Friday and a maximum temperature of 39.4 degrees — both two notches above average.
The relative humidity hovered between 47 percent and 74 percent.
