Cloudy day ahead in Delhi, rains likely

NEW DELHI - After a day of high humidity, the capital can expect cloudy skies and some rains Thursday, a weather official said.

“The skies will be cloudy and some parts of the capital will experience rain and thunderstorms later in the day,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

According to IMD, the minimum temperature hovered around 25.2 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season, while the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 33 degrees.

The capital received 0.9 mm of rainfall from Wednesday morning till 8.30 a.m. Thursday.

Delhi has recorded a total rainfall of 889 mm this season, around 86 percent above average.
