Light showers in Delhi, more rains expected

NEW DELHI - Delhiites woke up to another pleasant morning Wednesday with light showers and overcast skies. The weather office predicted more rains during the day.
“The skies will remain cloudy with spells of rain or thundershowers, one or two may be heavy in some areas,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
Delhi received 30 mm of rainfall between Tuesday night and 8.30 a.m. Wednesday.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 24.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the average for this time of the season. The maximum is expected to hover around 30 degrees.
The maximum and minimum humidity levels oscillated between 98 and 87 percent, said the official.
According to the Delhi Traffic Police, no traffic snarls were reported in the city.
The total rainfall recorded this season is 1,004.2 mm, which is around 62 percent above the average.
