Sun shines over Delhi, but rains likely

NEW DELHI - A bright and sunny morning greeted Delhiites Friday after days of continuous rain, but weather officials have predicted showers later during the day.
Delhi recorded a minimum of 23.2 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the capital has not received any rains in the past 24 hours from Thursday morning.
“Skies will be partly cloudy with one or two spells of rains or thundershowers during the day. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33 degrees Celsius,” said an IMD official.
The humidity was recorded at a high of 98 percent.
Delhi has seen one of its wettest monsoons this year with the total rainfall being 55 percent above the average at 1,031.5 mm.
