Hot, sunny day in Delhi

NEW DELHI - The dry spell continued in Delhi as the sky remained clear Wednesday and the sun shone brightly. The weatherman has predicted clear weather in the days to come.
The maximum temperature was 34.7 degrees Celsius, a notch above the average while the minimum settled at 21.6 degrees, normal for this time of the season.
The humidity level wavered between a high of 90 percent and a low of 35 percent.
Clear sky is predicted for Thursday and the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 35 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees, respectively, an official of the India Meteorological Department said.
The capital witnessed one of its wettest monsoons this year, resulting in heavy waterlogging and flood threats. The rainfall received so far crossed 1,031.5 mm — around 56 percent above the seasonal average.
