Mumbai has thunder showers

MUMBAI - After a clear, sunny day, most parts of Mumbai Monday witnessed sudden showers with lightning and thunder late evening.

The weather department has predicted spells of rain over the next two days. “Skies would be mainly cloudy. Spells of rain or thundershower may occur in parts of the city and suburbs,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

“The minimum temperature soon fell to 25 degrees Celsius as the rain continued for over an hour,” he added.

The humidity level was recorded at 81 percent as the city received more than five mm rain.
