LUCKNOW - Uttar Pradesh will continue to reel under blazing heat with the maximum temperature hovering around 40-45 degrees Celsius, the Met office said Monday.

The temperature will remain 5-6 degrees Celsius above average because a heat wave has gripped the entire state.

“There are no such conditions that can bring down the temperature. For at least 48 hours there will no substantial change in the weather pattern,” state Met director J.P. Gupta told reporters here.

“The heat is because of hot westerly winds,” said Gupta.
