Tigress dies in Bandhavgarh National Park

BHOPAL - A three-year-old tigress, seen in an injured condition Wednesday morning in Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria district, has died, an official said.
“The tigress, that was seen in an injured condition in the morning was found dead in the afternoon. It is, however, not clear whether she was hit by a vehicle or injured in a fight with another big cat,” park director C.K. Patil told IANS.
The national park is some 500 km from Bhopal.
