NEW DELHI - Delhi residents enjoyed yet another day of unabated sunshine Tuesday as the skies remained clear. The sunny weather is expected to continue for the rest of the week, weather officials said.

“Delhi hasn’t received any rains for the past 24 hours, nor is any likely for the next few days,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature Tuesday remained at 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled at 21.7 degrees. The humidity levels rose slightly as the maximum humidity saw a slight increase from 64 percent to 83 percent later in the day. The minimum humidity was 36 percent.

Clear skies are predicted for Wednesday and the temperature is expected to be the same as Tuesday, the IMD official said.

The capital witnessed one of its wettest monsoons this year, resulting in heavy waterlogging and flood threats. The rainfall received so far crossed 1,031.5 mm — 62 percent above the seasonal average.
