LONDON - An unemployed Briton has tried to sell his skills for a year through online shopping website ebay.

Thirtysix-year-old Tristam Rossin, who is a graphic designer, took the step after he was not able to find work for the past two months and began to run out of his savings, Daily Telegraph reported Thursday.

He tried to sell his skills as a graphic designer for 40 hours a week. It was for a period of one year.

“I’ve a wife and three children to support, so this is a very serious venture for me - it is not a hoax,” Rossin was quoted as saying.

His advertisement has been removed by eBay. The website stated that the listing is “in breach of our policies”.

Rossin said that he would have worked for a complete year whatever may have been the outcome of the bids. The bids, before being removed, reached 3,100 pounds.

He has knowledge of all leading design, illustration and flash animation software.
