Warm day in Delhi, rains predicted Friday

NEW DELHI - It was a warm and humid day in the national capital Thursday, the weather office said, predicting rain Friday.

The maximum temperature settled at 32.7 degrees Celsius, which was the average for this time of the year. The minimum temperature was recorded as 23 degrees Celsius, five notches above the average.

The humidity oscillated between 91 percent and 56 percent.

The weather office predicted light rain Friday.

“Skies will be partly cloudy with possibility of light rainfall or thundershower. The maximum and minimum temperature are expected to hover around 31 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees, respectively,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
