The maximum temperature, at 29.7 degrees Celsius, was average for this time of the year.

In the weather forecast for Wednesday, an IMD official said: “The sky will remain clear but a mist and shallow fog will be there early morning. In the late evening, there will be no fog but mist, contributing to the evening chill.”
