NEW DELHI - Delhiites were greeted by a warm morning Wednesday as the minimum temperature settled at 18.1 degrees Celsius - seven notches above average. The met office has predicted clear skies as the city celebrates Eid-ul-Zuha.

“There is no prediction of rain in the city. The weather will be pleasant. The afternoon will be warm and late evening chilly. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 28 degrees,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum and minimum humidity levels wavered between 94 and 54 percent, the official added.

Delhi witnessed heavy showers last week, causing a drop in temperature.
