Gujarat gets first green hospital

AHMEDABAD - Gujarat’s first green building, a 150-bed multi-super speciality hospital, built and equipped at a cost of Rs.150 crore, was unveiled here Thursday.

The Care Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) has submitted expansion plans to add another 450 beds, Keyur Parikh, chairman of the hospital and interventional cardiologist, told mediapersons here.

Parikh said the hospital was designed and developed so as to promote the green building concept.
