NEW DELHI - A clear and sunny morning greeted the capital Saturday and the weatherman said a slight drop in temperature is possible.

The last couple of days were misty and cloudy.

“While the last few days were cloudy, the sky will be clear during the day,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

A slight drop in the maximum temperature is also possible and it is expected to hover around 24 degrees Celsius, almost two notches below average. The minimum temperature, however, is likely to be above the average at 13 degrees Celsius, almost three notches above normal for this time of the season.

“There will be no rainfall,” the official added.

Delhiites said they looked forward to enjoying the pleasant weather over the weekend.

“The weather is very pleasant…this is one of the best times of the year. It is a weekend for outings,” said Shweta, a 31-year-old housewife here.
