NEW DELHI - Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Tuesday inaugurated the ‘Water and Waste-water Gallery’ at the National Science Centre to spread awareness about water conservation.

The gallery, an initiative of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and said to be the first of its kind, focuses on water supply, sewerage and river environment, showcases 34 displays like illustrative panels, interactive kiosks, live models and documentaries.

“The gallery will play an important role in educating and awakening the people of Delhi to the urgent need for water conservation and in bringing about abatement of pollution in Yamuna,” said Dikshit.

She also asked the people to protect the river and conserve water to avoid any sort of “water crisis” in the future.
