TEL AVIV - Human teeth dating back 400,000 years, found in a cave near the Israeli town of Rosh HaAyin, are the earliest evidence of modern man, and show he lived twice as long ago as was previously thought, Tel Aviv University said on its website Tuesday.

JERUSALEM - Israeli archaeologists believe thousands of ancient shards of flint found scattered around a fire pit in a cave near Tel Aviv might be the world's oldest known disposable knives.

JERUSALEM - Archaeologists have uncovered remains of an 8,000-year-old prehistoric building as well as ancient flint tools in the modern city of Tel Aviv, Israel's Antiquities Authority announced Monday.
