Summary Box: Green cars rev up for Paris Auto Show
GREEN AUTOS: European car makers are ready to show off new hybrid and electric cars at the Paris Auto Show starting Sunday.
SPOTLIGHT MODELS: Among the most anticipated unveilings will be PSA Peugeot Citroen’s 3008 HYbrid 4, the world’s first full diesel hybrid, and Renault’s Fluence Z.E., an all-electric mid-size sedan. Other models include Peugeot’s iOn, Mitsubishi’s i-MiEV and the Nissan Leaf.
CRYSTAL BALL: PricewaterhouseCooper’s Autofacts consultancy sees electric cars capturing a mere 1 percent of the global car market by 2016, while hybrids may reach 4 percent market share by then.
