Chilly, cloudy day in Delhi

NEW DELHI - It was a nippy day in Delhi Sunday as the maximum and minimum temperatures settled below average and clouds covered the city skies for a major part of the day.

The maximum temperature was recorded two notches below average at 22.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 8.2 degrees Celsius, a notch below average for this time of the season.

The maximum humidity was 95 percent and minimum was 51 percent.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhiites can look forward to a sunny yet chilly day Monday.

“Skies will be clear and days will get colder in the coming week as the temperatures will dip further. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 22 and eight degrees Celsius,” an IMD official said.
