NEW DELHI - A bright, sunny morning Thursday cleared the blanket of shallow fog that had been hovering over Delhi for the past couple of days.

This fog is only during early mornings and late evenings. The days are expected to be clear and sunny, said an official from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

There was a nip in the air Wednesday evening, with the minimum temperature at 8.5 degrees Celsius.

The weather office predicted a slight variation of a degree or two in the minimum temperature, while the maximum temperature was expected to stay around 23 degrees Celsius.

The cold wave in north India had caused Delhi’s minimum temperatures to dip last week.

Maximum humidity recorded till Thursday morning was 92 percent.
