NEW DELHI - With the maximum temperature at a pleasant 22.7 degrees Celsius Tuesday, the residents of Delhi are getting used to warm days but chilly nights when the temperature falls considerably.

The minimum temperature Tuesday was three notches below average at 4.4 degrees Celsius. The weather office attributed the drop to clear skies over the capital. This was much lower compared to a minimum of 7.5 degrees recorded Monday morning.

While the maximum temperature will rise in the coming days, the minimum will remain low, that means colder nights and warmer days, with high range of temperature, an India Meteorological Department official told IANS.

Rainfall is not very likely, but the sky will be partly cloudy, he said.

The maximum and minimum temperatures Wednesday are expected to be between 21-6 degrees Celsius.
