Biting cold morning in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A biting cold morning greeted the national capital Sunday with the minimum temperature at 7.8 degrees Celsius. The intense cold is likely to remain for the day due to a chilling wave sweeping the northern region, the weather office said.

“The day is likely to remain cold because of the chilling wave, said an official of the Indian Meteorological Department.

The minimum temperature fell by one degree compared to Saturday. The maximum temperature was expected to be 16.7 degrees, four notches below the average.

Humidity remained at its usual 97 percent.
