WASHINGTON - Need a beer, but don’t want to leave your couch? ow there’s an app for that.

An iPhone-controlled beer fridge cannon lets you pick your brew and then fires it at you from across the room.

The user of this gadget just has to use his iPhone to select one of four types of beer in the fridge (and their current temperatures), which is then vended into a ladle-like arm, reports Discovery News.

The app can be used to aim the fridge bot toward the thirsty person by clicking on left/right arrows on the screen.

Once he hits ‘FIRE,’ the arm slings the beer in his direction.

A webcam on the cannon automatically posts videos to Twitter for each shot with the text “Bombs away!”

The 50 psi air cannon connects to the Internet in real time using an ioBridge widget.

The DIY factor and success of the design remains impressive and advanced beyond most frat house kegerators. (ANI)
