Dubai, Jan 10 (IANS/WAM) Visitors to Dubai will now be able to view maps and get information and latest news updates about the city on iPhones, as the city administration will soon launch a new telecommunications project called “iDubai”.

Through this project, tourists will be able to view maps, which contain 1,000 locations such as hotels, parks, hospitals, schools, police stations, among other things.

Marwan Ibrahim Nasser, a senior official in the Dubai Municipality, said users will also be able to send notifications or suggestions and upload photos related to incidents with their equipment’s GPS location.

There are also search options by the name of the location. One can access the required location by going through the list of classifications.

The address, telephone number, photos and map of the required location will be shown on the screen.

One can also send notifications about an incident or suggestions to improve the services or any other complaint regarding a particular facility.

Nasser said many other additions are being planned for the project such as inquiry about municipality fines, job vacancies, used car market and events coming up in the month.
