Heavy showers lash Taj city

AGRA - Heavy showers lashed the Taj city early Tuesday. Hail was also seen in some parts and the weatherman has predicted more rain.

“The Taj looks dazzling after the unexpected wash early morning. I am sure tourists are going to love it,” hotelier Sandeep Arora told IANS.

Farmers were, however, concerned about their crops.

Ravi Singh, a farmer of Barauli Aheer block, said: “The fluctuation in the temperature is causing some worry for the farmers. It looks like the chill has returned for a couple of days as the fields are wet again.”

“Just hoping the mustard flowers are not damaged,” he added.
