|Cheryl Cole’s pictures used to promote Russian bride business, porn|Entertainment[London {LONDON - Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole is said to be furious after a Russian website used pictures of hers to promote their mail order bride business.
Cheryl, 27, has been featured as one of the many women seeking a husband on website RussianBrides.org, and in one picture she is seen wearing a wholesome white cardigan over the title of the website.
Another, which is a headshot of her, is shown next to the advice “assess precisely what it is you are looking for in your Russian bride-to-be”.
According to the Daily Star, a friend revealed that Cheryl would be livid with the ad.
“She is one of the world’s most beautiful women and its not surprising people want to use her image to attract customers,” the Daily Mail quoted the friend as saying.
“However she is extremely careful about any products she endorses - and this Russian bride agency is most certainly not one of them. It is clearly a deception and the plug needs to be pulled on it,” the friend stated.
The bride ad comes just a couple of months after it emerged that pictures of Cheryl were illicitly used to promote a Russian escort agency.
The Babylon Moscow Escort Agency claimed that Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh were among its “friendly and sophisticated girls waiting for your call”.
In another abuse of the X Factor judge’s image, doctored photographs of her in X-rated poses have been posted for sale on an auction website.
The snaps, which had been produced by scanning her head on to pornographic pictures, show her naked and wearing skimpy lingerie. They have subsequently been removed by eBay, which has apologised.
The boss of Russian Brides, Irina Crebneva claims Cheryl’s photographs had appeared “by mistake” and she had not heard of the singer. (ANI)
