NEW DELHI - Delhi residents enjoyed a sunny Friday after a cold morning. The good weather will spill over to Saturday but then could change with hail or thunder squalls forecast Sunday in some parts of the capital, weather officials said.

“The city residents can expect thunderstorms and hail Sunday due to western disturbances,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature Friday was 21.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 9.4 degrees Celsius, both two notches below average.

The humidity levels wavered between a high of 91 and a low of 39 percent, the official added.

Saturday will see clear skies and bright sunshine as there is no prediction of rain.

“The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover, respectively, around 24 and 10 degrees Celsius,” the official added.
