CHARGING UP: Nissan Motor Co. is selling 500 Leafs to Enterprise Rent-A-Car as it aims to put more drivers behind the wheels of its forthcoming electric car.

BUT NOT EVERYWHERE JUST YET: Enterprise will make the Leaf available starting in January to customers in the following cities: Seattle, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Tucson, Ariz., Knoxville, Tenn., Nashville, Tenn. and Portland, Ore.

MORE TO COME: The Leaf is one of several electric cars hitting the market in the coming years. General Motors Co. on Tuesday said it will start selling the Chevrolet Volt for $41,000 before tax credits next year.
