Work wrapping up on Yellowstone visitor ed center
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. — Work is wrapping up on a new visitor education center at Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park.
A dedication ceremony is set for Aug. 25, which will be the 94th anniversary of the creation of the National Park Service.
The two-story building replaces an outdated visitor center that was torn down in 2006 and 2007. The new education center has been highly rated by the U.S. Green Building Council for its water conservation, indoor air quality and use of sustainable materials.
The project cost $27 million.
