LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (GaeaTimes.com)- Stephen Hawking’s new book titled “The Grand Design” has refuted the Divine intervention in the creation of Universe. The book that has been co-authored by Stephen Hawking and Leonard Mlodinow is scheduled to hit the book stands on Sep 9, and reviews of the book has already soared up the heat among orthodox groups who have criticized the stance taken by Stephen Hawking in the “The Grand Design”.

In past, Stephen Hawking in books like “A Brief History of Time” has talked about the possibility of God’s existence. Although he had always been skeptical about the existence of God, it is for the first time that he had overtly refuted its existence. If the scientists are to be believed then the Universe was not set on motion by God as Issac Newton had mentioned but it kick-started its own action. Stephen Hawking mentions in the book that “It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the Universe going”.

In the book, he also refutes the idea of any personal God. The scientist mentions that he does not believe in any personal God and that if one wants to think of science as his or her personal God then there is no problem about it. However, as for the Divine God, there is no existence of any such thing. The idea of the non-existence of God is being criticized by many religious sects. Many believers have voiced that Stephen Hawking has done a mistake by considering God as “yet” another thing whose impact can be gauge.
