At 5.2 degrees, Wednesday season’s coldest in Delhi

NEW DELHI - The minimum temperature in the capital Wednesday plunged to the season’s lowest so far at 5.2 degrees Celsius - three notches below the average. The weather office forecast a bright day ahead.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the day temperature is expected to fall further in the coming days.

“There was mist in the morning but skies will remain clear during the day. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 22 degrees,” an IMD official told IANS.

The minimum temperature Tuesday was 7.5 degrees.
