NEW DELHI - Heavy downpour throughout the night paved way for a chilly Saturday morning, but the clouds soon cleared to make way for the sun. The weatherman has predicted light showers later in the day.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi recorded 10.3 mm of rainfall from Friday 8.30 a.m to Saturday 8.30 a.m.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 12.1 degree Celsius, normal for this time of the season.
“Skies will remain clear but would turn partly cloudy and light showers are expected later in the day. The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 23 degrees Celsius,” an IMD official said.
He said the rains were due to western disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir.
Humidity was recorded at 100 percent.
