Man dies of biting cold in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A homeless man in his early 30s was found dead Sunday in west Delhi with the police claiming this to be the first death of the season due to the freezing cold.

According to police, an unidentified homeless man was found dead Sunday morning near a Metro pillar in west Delhi. The death is suspected to be caused by the freezing cold. A post mortem report is awaited, said an official.

Delhi has been experiencing biting cold over the past several days with the mercury remaining below the season’s average levels.
