Warm and bright day in Delhi

NEW DELHI - The weekend began on a warm note for Delhiites as they soaked in the pleasant sunshine on a bright and clear Friday. The Met office has predicted sunny and clear skies ahead.

The maximum temperature was three notches above average at 24.3 degrees while the minimum settled at 6.1 degrees, a notch below average, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The IMD had predicted rainfall in the city Friday but the bright sunshine continued to provide comfort to the residents throughtout the day.

According to IMD officials, Saturday will again be warm and bright. Delhiites can look forward to soaking in the sun as the skies will remain clear throughout the day.

There will be mist early morning but bright sunshine is predicted in the afternoon. The evening temperatures are expected to remain below normal continuing the chill. The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover between 21 and 9 degrees, added the official.
